The Process

Step-by-Step Service Flow

Step
1

Schedule Your Appointment

Book online or by phone at a time that works for your schedule same-day and same-week availability with evening and weekend slots included.

Step
2

Complete Your Intake

We review your sexual history, recent exposures, current symptoms, and any prior STI history asked clinically, without the tone that makes people wish they’d stayed home.

Step
3

Testing & Sample Collection

A licensed Illinois provider collects the appropriate sample urine, swab, or both depending on your situation quickly and professionally in a private clinical setting.

Step
4

Results, Treatment & Follow-Up

Results communicated directly by your provider with a clear explanation of what each finding means and treatment coordinated at the same visit when clinically appropriate, no separate appointment required.

How Quickly Can I Get Tested?

Most patients are seen the same day or same week. After a brief intake, you meet with a licensed Illinois provider who determines what testing makes sense for your specific situation not a fixed panel handed to everyone who walks in. Results come back with an explanation attached, not a number on a screen you’re left to decode alone.

Your care team will also cover:

  • Whether the timing since your exposure affects how reliable today’s results will be
  • What a positive result means practically for your health, your treatment, and the people you’ve been with
  • Whether other infections are worth screening for at the same visit given your history
  • What test-of-cure looks like and when a follow-up test actually matters
  • How to handle the partner conversation what you’re obligated to do and how to approach it

Getting tested is the straightforward part. Understanding what comes after is where most people feel lost and that’s exactly the part we don’t leave you to figure out alone.

Am I Eligible for Chlamydia & Gonorrhea Testing?

Our Chlamydia & Gonorrhea Testing Services Include

Chlamydia Screening

The most commonly reported STI in the country and one most people carrying it have no idea they have. We test, confirm, and treat at the same visit when results allow, without making you schedule a separate appointment to start care.

Gonorrhea Screening

In women, gonorrhea rarely announces itself with obvious symptoms which is exactly how it causes damage quietly over time. We screen based on your actual risk profile and treat confirmed infections at the same visit when clinically appropriate.

Dual Chlamydia & Gonorrhea Panel

Both infections share similar risk factors, frequently co-occur, and are both treatable. There is rarely a clinical reason to test for one without the other when your situation warrants either so we cover both in a single visit.

Symptom Evaluation

If something feels off unusual discharge, burning, pelvic pressure, spotting between periods we evaluate whether it fits the picture of chlamydia or gonorrhea, and whether other infections are worth ruling out at the same visit.

Same-Visit Treatment

When results confirm an infection, we treat at the same appointment rather than sending you home to wait for a callback and schedule something else. Care starts the same day you get the answer.

Test-of-Cure & Follow-Up Testing

Some infections and treatment protocols call for a follow-up test to confirm clearance. We schedule that based on what was found and what was prescribed and stay reachable if something comes up before that date.

The Most Question We Got so Far

How soon after sex should I get tested for STDs?

Still have questions? Reach out we’re just a message away.

I feel completely fine. Is there actually a reason to get tested?

Feeling fine is not the same as testing negative and for chlamydia and gonorrhea specifically, that gap matters more than most people realize. Both infections are frequently asymptomatic, particularly in women, and can cause serious reproductive health damage including pelvic inflammatory disease and long-term fertility complications without ever producing a symptom you’d notice. Clinical guidelines recommend annual screening for all sexually active women under 25 and for older women with relevant risk factors, not because symptoms are subtle, but because symptoms are often absent entirely.

Chlamydia is generally detectable within 7 to 14 days of exposure. Gonorrhea typically within 1 to 14 days. Testing too close to the exposure window can produce a false negative the infection is there, just not yet at levels the test can reliably catch. We factor your timing into what we recommend, and if waiting a few more days would give you a more reliable result, we tell you that directly rather than running a test that may not tell the full story.

For most patients, yes. When same-day results allow, we treat confirmed infections at the same visit so you are not going home with a positive result and a follow-up appointment scheduled for next week. We tell you at intake how results come back for what you’re being tested for so you know what to expect before the appointment even starts.

It is a more common situation than most people think, and it matters clinically reinfection from an untreated partner is one of the most common reasons treated infections return. We talk through how to approach that conversation practically, and in appropriate cases can discuss expedited partner therapy, where treatment is provided for a partner without requiring them to come in separately. We tell you what is available and what applies to your specific situation rather than leaving that problem entirely in your hands.
