A Practice Near Niles That Investigates First and Concludes Second
The version of women’s primary care that most people have experienced goes something like this: you describe a symptom, a number gets checked against a reference range, the number clears the threshold, and you’re told everything looks fine. You leave with the same symptom and a shorter list of explanations to pursue. Repeat this enough times and most women stop bringing things up at all — not because the symptom resolved, but because the appointment stopped feeling worth the effort.
At Serenity Choice Health, we start from a different premise. Your symptoms are data. Your history is context. What you were told at your last appointment is part of the picture too including when what you were told doesn’t match how you actually feel. Our licensed Illinois providers take a complete clinical inventory before drawing any conclusions, track what changes between visits rather than resetting each year, and manage your hormonal health, reproductive concerns, mental wellness, and chronic conditions as a connected system rather than separate items on a checklist. For Niles women who have been told they’re fine when they clearly aren’t, this is what a practice that actually investigates looks like.

Our Women's Primary Care Services
Comprehensive Wellness Exams
A yearly exam that reviews your physical health, hormonal status, reproductive concerns, and mental wellness together and uses each visit to build on the last rather than treating every year as an independent event.
Hormonal Health Evaluation
Fatigue, mood swings, irregular cycles, and low libido are symptoms with clinical causes worth finding. We evaluate your hormonal picture completely, explain what we find plainly, and treat what the evidence supports not what’s easiest to attribute to stress.
Thyroid & Metabolic Health
Thyroid dysfunction gets missed in women at a rate that reflects a systemic problem with how quickly providers default to reassurance. We test specifically, read results in the context of your symptoms, and manage what we actually find.
PCOS Management
PCOS drives metabolic disruption, mood instability, skin changes, fertility concerns, and cycle irregularity simultaneously and treating only the most visible symptom leaves the rest unmanaged. We address the full clinical picture from the start.
Perimenopause & Menopause Care
The hormonal transition surrounding menopause is routinely undertreated, and the symptoms sleep disruption, cognitive changes, mood shifts, vasomotor symptoms are real and clinically addressable. We build a plan around your complete hormonal picture and your preferences, not a protocol that ignores both.
Mental Health Screening & Integration
Depression, anxiety, and perinatal mood disorders are screened at every relevant visit and addressed directly with a real conversation, not a pamphlet and a disconnected referral number.
Common Situations That Bring Patients to Our Clinic
- Symptoms that have been present for months or years without an explanation that actually holds up
- Fragmented care across multiple providers who share no clinical picture of the patient in front of them
- Thyroid, PCOS, or autoimmune conditions that need active management alongside reproductive health concerns
- Perimenopause or menopause symptoms that are disrupting daily life and haven't received meaningful clinical attention
- Mental health concerns that belong inside a primary care relationship not routed to a separate system to navigate alone
- Preventive screenings overdue because no consistent provider has been ordering them
- A chronic condition being managed with refills but not with actual clinical oversight
- Wanting to discuss contraception, preconception planning, or reproductive goals within the same practice that handles everything else
- A provider who retains what you told them last visit without you recapping it from the beginning
- Care that evolves alongside your health rather than resetting each time you change providers
What to Expect During Your Visit?
Your first appointment is built around understanding your health completely not efficiently processing a new patient:
- A thorough intake covering your personal and family health history, current medications, prior diagnoses, and anything that has gone unexplained or unresolved at previous practices
- A direct conversation about what brought you in including what you have been managing without adequate clinical support and what previous providers have gotten wrong or left unaddressed
- A physical exam and baseline lab work ordered around your specific age, risk factors, and stated concerns not a generic protocol applied identically to every new patient
- Plain-language explanations of every finding no medical shorthand that sends you home more confused than when you arrived
- A written care plan with clear priorities, follow-up timing, and specialist referrals coordinated directly when needed
- Telehealth options established for future visits that don’t require an in-office exam
You leave the first visit with a real clinical baseline, a plan that accounts for your specific situation, and a provider who will remember both at your next appointment.
How We Support Your Health Between Appointments?
The relationship matters most in the space between appointments. We stay involved through:
- Annual and interval wellness visits structured around what your health actually requires at each stage not a fixed calendar that treats every patient identically
- Lab monitoring at clinically appropriate intervals for chronic conditions, hormonal health, and preventive needs
- Medication management with active clinical review between refill cycles not automated renewals
- Telehealth availability for lab result reviews, prescription check-ins, symptom updates, and between-visit questions that need a real answer
- Specialist referral coordination that keeps us in the loop so what a specialist finds gets integrated into your care plan rather than filed in a separate chart
- A consistent provider who knows your history well enough to notice when something has shifted without you having to point it out

The Most Question We Got so Far
Still have questions? Reach out we’re just a message away.
I keep being told nothing is wrong but I know something is. What do I do with that?
You come in and we start over with a provider who isn’t starting from the conclusion that nothing is wrong. We review what’s been tested, what hasn’t, and what your symptoms actually suggest — and we order differently when the standard approach hasn’t answered the question. A normal result on an incomplete panel is not the same as a clean bill of health.
Can you manage my reproductive health and my general primary care in the same practice?
For most patients, yes — and the integrated approach tends to produce better outcomes than splitting care across offices that don’t communicate. Hormonal health, cycle patterns, chronic conditions, and mental wellness all intersect in ways that are easier to manage when one provider has the full picture. When specialist-level ob-gyn input is needed, we coordinate that referral and stay integrated with what comes out of it.
I haven't had a consistent primary care provider in years. Is that going to be a problem?
No. The first visit is designed to build a complete clinical baseline from wherever you are right now. You don’t need a pristine medical record or perfect recall of your history — what you bring with you and what we find at your initial exam is enough to build something real and consistent going forward.
I'm in my early 40s and things feel different but no one has taken it seriously. Where do I start?
Here. The hormonal changes that precede perimenopause frequently begin years earlier than most people expect — and produce symptoms that get routinely dismissed as stress, aging, or anxiety. We evaluate your hormonal picture specifically, explain what’s driving what, and discuss every evidence-based option so you’re making informed decisions rather than enduring symptoms that are actually addressable.
